Águilas opens the national duathlon qualifiers with nearly 500 participants
The 32nd Águilas Carnival Duathlon has begun calendar of qualifying tests for the 2026 Spanish Duathlon Championship, bringing together nearly 500 athletes and a good part of the national elite in the Region of Murcia.
The test, held on January 24, once again placed Águilas as one of the focal points of the national duathlon by hosting the first event that awarded places for the Spanish Duathlon Championship in Cáceres.
The event combined elite competition, age groups, paratriathlon y categories of minorsconsolidating its weight within the federative calendar.
Marta Pintanel dominates the elite women's race
At female elite category, the victory went to Marta Pintanel, from the University of Alicante Triathlon, who dominated all three segments to win with a time of 59:57.
