Kristian Blummenfelt wins IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence 2025

This Sunday, May 18, the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Aix-en-Provence 2025, one of the great tests of the calendar European middle distance.

On a day with big names on the starting line, it was Kristian Blummenfelt who once again demonstrated his power by taking the victory with a record of 3:41:08, the best partial run of the day included (1:07:12).

The Norwegian, who arrived after his recent victory at the IRONMAN in Texas, gave his rivals no chance.

He consistently placed among the top finishers in the swimming competition, held his own in the chasing group during the cycling competition, and finished second in the running competition with his signature devastating stride. He was joined on the podium by his compatriot Casper Stornes (3: 41: 39) and French Simon Viain (3: 42: 26).

The men's race was marked by the breakaway of Ruben Zepuntke, who attacked in the cycling segment, reaching T2 with a two-minute lead, but was unable to keep up with the pace set by Blummenfelt and company in the final half marathon.
