Laura Philipp wins IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau for the sixth time

On May 25th the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Kraichgau in Germany, one of the most traditional events on the European circuit.

In a setting nicknamed "the land of 1000 hills," the day saw stellar performances and absolute dominance by the local athletes.

Sixth consecutive victory for Laura Philipp

The current IRONMAN world champion, Laura Philipp, once again demonstrated his strength at the 70.3 Kraichgau, taking victory for the sixth time (after winning in 2017, 2018, 2022, 2023 and 2024).

Philipp came out of the water a little late (ninth), more than a minute and a half behind the leader, but after 20 km of cycling she had already neutralized the gap.

In T2 he arrived in a trio with Laura jansen y Lena MeißnerWhile Caroline Pohle and the Australian Natalie Van Coevorden were losing some ground.

In the running segment, Philipp gave no options: he took the lead very early on and wrapped up the race before km 7, winning by more than four minutes.

Lasse Nygaard Priester gets his first 70.3

In the men's category, the protagonist was Lasse Nygaard Priester, who achieved his first middle-distance victory after overcoming health problems in 2024. The German led from the start after coming out of the water first in a very compact group.

He shared the bike with Nick emde y Fabian Kraft, the three of them arriving together at T2. But in the race, Priester's powerful pace allowed him to pull away, gaining more than half a minute in the first 3 km and reaching the half marathon with more than a minute's lead.

Despite the final push of kraft, Priester managed to maintain his lead and raise his arms at the finish line, securing an emotional victory at home.
