María Varo wins the European Duathlon Championship in Rumia
This Saturday, April 26, the Polish city of Rumia-Pomorskie witnessed a brilliant performance by María Varo, who proclaimed himself European Duathlon Champion after a very strategic race.
A race controlled from the start
From the first meters of the race, Varo made a difference alongside the Italian Noemi Bogiatto, arriving at the first transition with a 25-second lead over the large chasing group. The cycling segment remained unchanged: both maintained their lead until the second transition.
In the last 2,5 km of the race, María Varo He was able to finish with authority, crossing the finish line in 56:59 minutes, beating by 4 seconds Bogiatto and by 11 to Alice Bagarello.
