Marta Pintanel and David Cantero win the 2025 Fuente Álamo Triathlon

Yesterday, Saturday, April 26, the 33rd Fuente Álamo Triathlon, one of the most traditional tests of the calendar national, which this year also served as qualifier for the Spanish Sprint Triathlon Championship 2025

The meeting brought together more than a thousand participants between the waters of Mazarrón and the finish line located in Fuente Álamo, consolidating, once again, its reputation as “the triathlete's race”.

From the beach outing to the vibrant foot race through the streets of the town, the atmosphere was unbeatable.

Marta Pintanel dominates the women's category with authority.

In the female category, Marta Pintanel, competing as an independent, put in an outstanding performance to take the win with a time of 1h14m42s. Alejandra Segui, from CEA Bétera, was second with 1h15m19s, while her teammate Noelia Juan closed the podium with 1h15m46s.

They completed the top-5 Ana Gomez Carballo (City of Lugo Fluvial) and Maria Alzaga (Narón Nautical Club).

David Cantero and a close finish in the men's category

In the male category, David cantero, from the University of Alicante Triathlon, took the victory in a very tight finish, crossing the finish line in 1h04m19s, barely eight seconds ahead of his teammate Izan Edo (1h04m27s).

The third place was for Andrew Hilary (Triathlon Albacete Res) with 1h04m40s, followed by Julen Andueza (Saltoki Trikideak) and Eloy Canales (University of Alicante) in the top five positions.

Next event: Spanish Championship in Águilas

With points at stake in Fuente Álamo, the best national triathletes ensure their presence in the Sprint Triathlon Spain Championship to be held in Águilas next September.
