MTRI Alicante 2025: Popular triathlon festival at Postiguet Beach
Second day with the main event and the explosive supersprint distance

This Sunday the city of Alicante experienced the closure of its headquarters in the circuit Mediterranean 2025 Triathlon, more than 540 triathletes enjoying a spectacular setting by the sea.
After an intense first day on Saturday, the second included the Olympic distance - the queen of triathlon - and as a novelty, the explosive supersprint distance.
The atmosphere was unbeatable, with good weather, an attractive course, and dozens of beginners trying triathlon for the first time thanks to the new, shorter format.
The organizers thus managed to balance participation across both events, also allowing those who wished to compete in more than one distance over the weekend.
Miguel Hernández and Laura Villar dominate the Olympics
In the most demanding test on Sunday, Miguel Hernández of the Gandia Triathlon Club crossed the finish line in 1:58:08, taking the victory with authority. They followed him Quentin Le Corre (The 208th Triathlon Club of Elche) and Nacho Tomas (A7 Triathlon LAW).
In the female category, the victory was for Laura Villar of the CT Albacete Res, which stopped the clock in 2:28:49, in front of Eva Urbanska y Anais Gandice (The 208th Elche Triathlon Club).

Supersprint: fast format, guaranteed excitement
From the 10: 20 pm, the supersprint participants took to the water in an ideal test to get started or enjoy triathlon at more accessible distances.
The victory in boys was for Asier Moreno (The 208th Elche Triathlon Club), while the women's category won Raquel Ballester (A7 Triathlon LAW).

The family duathlon puts the finishing touch
Not everything was competition: the family duathlon It was once again a success, bringing together young and old for a day of family sports.
These types of tests consolidate the MTRI circuit as one of the most accessible, comprehensive, and participatory in the country.
MTRI Valencia, next stop with more than 1.300 registered
The circuit does not stop and in just one week the appointment of Valencia, more than 1.300 Subscribers already confirmed and registrations are about to close.
The test will be held in the Beach of the Malvarrosa day May 31 and June 1, with modalities for all levels: individual, couples, supersprint, sprint, Olympic and family duathlon.
