Simone Dailey bids farewell to professional triathlon with an impressive victory in the HOMBRE DE HIERRO Arizona 2025, coming back from more than ten minutes down after the swim to achieve the biggest victory of his career.

The British athlete, who had announced that this would be her last IRONMAN as a professional, turned her farewell into a true demonstration of maturity, consistency, and endurance. She crossed the finish line in 8:37:17, securing the biggest victory of his career.

Her victory also came in a far from easy context. Dailey emerged from the water to more than ten minutes From the front. Ahead lay a fast, exposed bike section with many contenders in the thick of the fight for the top positions.

A trademark comeback

Far from giving up, Dailey fought her way back into the race through sheer determination. She went from 11th to 4th place as the leading group began to break apart. By the halfway point of the marathon, the three were already neck and neck, with Dailey running shoulder to shoulder with Zilinskas. From that point on, the Briton set an unstoppable pace. Zilinskas had no answer, and Alberts began to lose ground.

In the final kilometers, Dailey was only running against the emotion of knowing that he was about to close his professional career by winning an IRONMAN.

She crossed the finish line alone, strong and with an obvious mixture of relief and happiness.

She retires with a victory that defines her career: combative, patient, hardworking, and always dangerous when the opportunity arose. She did it all without fanfare, without noise, but with an enormous competitive heart.
