Noelia Juan and David Cantero won the Villa de Fuente Álamo International Triathlon 2026, one of the oldest triathlon events in Spain, in an edition marked by wind in the cycling segment.
The third edition of 34 Villa de Fuente Álamo International Triathlon – Pujante Grand Prix The race was decided again in the final kilometers, with a key running leg in both the women's and men's events.

The women's race was very open from the start. A group of twelve triathletes began the cycling segment at a high pace, faster than in previous editions, but the wind prevented the race from breaking away completely.

A race marked by the wind
The journey of Villa de Fuente Álamo International Triathlon It maintained its usual format, with 750 meters of swimming, 25 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running.
The wind was one of the decisive factors of the day. Its presence particularly affected the cycling segment, preventing any clear breakaways from forming and leaving the race to be decided on the run.
The result reaffirmed Fuente Álamo's importance on the national sporting calendar. The event once again served as a qualifier for the Spanish Triathlon Championship.
The Triathlon of triathletes and volunteers
The 2026 edition also had a strong symbolic component. This year's poster paid tribute to the role of volunteers, an essential part of an event that mobilizes more than 300 people to make the event possible.
The design was done by Juana Valcárcel y Maria Clement, a member of the organizing committee and an ALS patient, who captured the image used on the poster and t-shirts of the edition with his wheelchair.
