Lennert Cappan and Petra Eggenschwiler win the 2025 Portocolom Triathlon
Today, April 13th, the twenty-seventh edition of the Portocolom Triathlon, one of the most emblematic events of the calendar national middle distance.
With 600 triathletes competing across the distances 111 (1 km swimming, 100 km cycling and 10 km running) y 55.5 (0,5 km – 50 km – 5 km), the competition once again brought together great figures of international triathlon and local talents in an unparalleled setting.
Cappan and Eggenschwiler win at distance 111
In the main event of the event, the Belgian Lennert Cappan took the victory with a time of 3:43:37, cementing his triumph in a powerful cycling segment where he distanced himself from the rest of the favorites.
The German Lukas Schnodewind, winner of the previous edition, tried to make a comeback in the foot race, but could only finish second with 3:47:49. The Austrian closed the podium Matthias Hohlrieder (3:47:59), in a European battle for the top spots.
In women, the Swiss Petra Eggenschwiler reaffirmed his dominance in Portocolom, revalidating the title with a time of 4:16:45. She beat the German Leonie Konzalla (4:21:03) after snatching the lead in the cycling section.
The also Swiss Maja Indermuehle (4:23:30) was third again, repeating the same position as in 2024. The best Spanish woman was Eider Bereziartua, sixth overall.
Florit and Benavides shine at distance 55.5
In the short test, the Balearic Islands were the protagonists. Jaume Florit He won with authority in the men's category, stopping the clock in 1:54:12, followed by Rubén Best (1: 58: 33) and Biel Gacias (1: 59: 11).
In the female category, Victoria Benavides Lopez de Ayala He repeated his 2024 victory with a time of 2:14:59, in front of Janna Sieber (2: 23: 36) and Addy Bamberg (2: 28: 06).
A tour with its own identity
The Portocolom Triathlon stands out for its unique route. The swim takes place in the protected bay of Portocolom (Felanitx, Mallorca), while the 100km cycling segment includes the iconic double climb to Sant Salvador.
Finally, the triathletes complete the race on foot, arriving at the Club Nautic, after passing by the emblematic Portocolom lighthouse, accessible only on this day of the year.
