Sagunto hosts the Valencian Regional Triathlon Championship

Next Sunday, the Almardà Beach in Sagunto will be the scene of the Regional Olympic Distance Triathlon Championship.
The test will bring together about 500 triathletes, with more than 400 athletes competing for regional titles in the senior and age-group categories. The route includes a 1.500-meter swim, a 40-km bike ride, and a 10-km run.
Strong female presence
One of the highlights will be the participation of 115 women, a figure that practically equals that of the last Spanish Championship (124 registered).
These numbers confirm the healthy state of triathlon in the Valencian Community and reflect the commitment to promoting women's and school sports.
News and circuit
The race celebrates its ninth edition and this year it's changing location. The action will start at 8:00 a.m. at the Almarda Beach parking.
- Cycling: will travel through Sagunto and Canet de Berenguer.
- Race on foot: will take place along the promenade, with the beach as a backdrop.
Triathletes to follow
Among the favorites for the regional title will be Marina Camps y Sara alemany (CEA Bétera), Chloe Nicholas (CDT Resistant T3) and Cristina de la Torre (CEC Antella).
In the men's category, names such as Paco Marti (Deporama Soriano Triathlon), Alan Collado y Pablo Martínez (CEA Bétera), in addition to Guillem Segura (Saltoki Trikideak).
