Pure national triathlon: Banyoles hosts more than 2200 triathletes this weekend.
Banyoles is preparing for one of the most powerful weekends of the year. calendar national triathlon.
More than 2200 dorsal are already assigned for the Spanish Triathlon Championships by Clubs, SuperSprint Relay / Pairs and the Triathlon of Catalonia, which reaches its Edition 39.
The action starts this Saturday 12 of July and will continue Sunday 13, in what will be the central days of the National League of Clubs and the Iberdrola League of Triathlon. In total, 63 clubs from all over Spain will compete with their best teams.

Saturday July 12:
- From 9:00 p.m.: Spanish Club Triathlon Championship (Sprint distance)
- 16: 00 pm: XXXIX Triatló de Catalunya (Olympic distance)
Sunday July 13:
- 9: 00 pm: Spanish SuperSprint Relay/Pairs Men's Championship
- 11: 00 pm: Women's SuperSprint Relay/Pairs

At the official presentation, Michael Noguer, Mayor of Banyoles, highlighted the importance of hosting triathlons again:
"We're going to have over two thousand triathletes competing, and this is just a taste of what awaits us with the 2026 European Multisport Championship."
For its part, José Hidalgo, President of the FETRI, underlined:
"We're approaching the central rounds of the national leagues. Banyoles has always been a place to grow and improve in all aspects of triathlon."

"It's a privilege to compete and train here. Any triathlete who comes to Banyoles, returns."
An event with history… and future
Banyoles is not only a classic of the national triathlon, but also the headquarters of the future European Multisport 2026, which makes each event an opportunity to fine-tune all the organizational and logistical details.
Furthermore, hosting this type of event represents a significant economic impact for the region, with more than 1900 participants and 400 additional athletes participating in the Triatló de Catalunya.
How are the leagues going?
The 2025 leagues are halfway through. The first venue has already been chosen in Roquetas de Mar, and after Banyoles, the final touch will come in September in Torremolinos.
