Next Saturday, September 13, the Murcian town of Águilas will once again be the epicenter of the Spanish triathlon with the celebration of the 2025 Spanish Elite Sprint Triathlon Championship.
The event will bring together the best triathletes on the national scene in a weekend full of competitions, which will also include the Spanish Paralympic Triathlon Championships, Inclusive Triathlon and the last day of the Talent League of Clubs.
Prominent figures in the women's event
The presence of the women's list stands out: Marta Pintanel, independent triathlete and one of the big favorites for the title.
At his side will be references such as Noelia Juan (CEA Bétera), Maria Casals (City of Lugo Fluvial), Maite Jiménez-Orta (Peñota Dental Alusigma) or Alejandra Segui (CEA Bétera), all of them with options to fight for the podium.
Cantero leads a luxury men's roster
In the men's category the big favorite will be David cantero (University of Alicante), which leads a roster of more than 100 triathletes.
His main rivals will be his teammate Izan Edo, Pelayo Gonzalez (Alusigma Dental Peñota), Andres Prieto (AD Fogar) and Edu Blanco (University of Alicante). The high level of entries ensures a highly competitive championship.

- Saturday 13:
- 11:30 a.m. – Spanish Paralympic Triathlon Championship.
- 14:30 p.m. – Age Groups.
- 17:00 PM – Men’s Elite.
- 19:00 p.m. – Female Elite.
- Sunday 14th:
- 09:00 a.m. – Cadet, youth, and junior qualifying series.
- 12:00 p.m. – Finals by category.
- 13:30 p.m. – Spanish Inclusive Triathlon Championship.
The weekend will start on Saturday morning with the Spanish Triathlon Championship for Mixed Talent Relay, a decisive test for the Club Talent League.
A key event to close the national season
The Águilas event will not only feature national titles, but will also showcase the current level of Spanish triathlon, with emerging talents and established figures. It will also be the perfect conclusion to an intense calendar of competitions FETRI.
