A key test for the FETRI National Ranking

triXilxes 2026 will score for the FETRI National Ranking for Middle and Long Distance with up 1.000 points, a factor that increases the sporting interest of the race.

The non-drafting format makes the race a very comprehensive test. There's no room for drafting or relying on the group. Each triathlete must manage their effort from the swim to the run, with particular emphasis on the cycling segment.

That individual character is one of the hallmarks of triXilxes. The race maintains a distance demanding enough to punish mistakes, but also fast enough to force competitors to race with intensity at all times.

Very open male poster

In the men's category there is no single favorite, but there is a list of names capable of breaking up the race from the first few kilometers.

Ramón Ejeda, nacho galvez, Xandre Álvarez y Miguel Fernández They arrive as figures destined to set the pace. There will also be Roger Manya y Nacho Villarruel, current leader of the FETRI ranking for Middle and Long Distance, two triathletes with the ability to move the race in any segment.

The male lineup is rounded out with names like Ander Noiain, Carlos Oliver o Guillem Rojas, which could play a leading role from the swimming portion if he decides to select the event with a high pace from the water.

The great absence will be that of Diego Mentridawho has not been able to recover in time from the hand injury he has been suffering.

Helene Alberdi and Anna Noguera, benchmarks in the women's race

The women's category also features a very high level of competition. Helene Alberdi y Anna Noguera They start as two of the main contenders for the race, although they will not be the only candidates to be at the front.

Alicia Ulatowska y Chloe Nicholas They also have a chance to get into the fight if the race gets tough from the early stages.

The 2026 edition will also feature a special guest: Judith CorachánThe Catalan triathlete, now retired from professional triathlon, will be a special guest and will compete again in triXilxes, news that adds an emotional touch to the day.

A quick tour along the Mediterranean

triXilxes 2026 will be held on 1,5 kilometers of swimming, 59 kilometers of cycling, and 15 kilometers of running.

The swimming portion will take place on a single-loop circuit, starting from the Cerezo beach and arrival in the Les Cases beach.

The cycling segment will consist of two laps of a completely round-trip circuit. #sindraftingThis part can be decisive, both because of the need to maintain stable power and because of the difficulty of managing the effort with the running portion in mind.

The final stretch will combine a link from T2 with several loops along the seafront and the streets of Xilxes Beach, in a visually appealing and comfortable route for the public.

Weekend schedules and activities

The race is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 10.

The event will kick off on Saturday, May 9th, with bib collection, bike check-in, and various other activities. Throughout the day, free activities such as yoga and pilates will be offered on Cerezo Beach, in addition to the runners' expo.

A match that gauges the form of the season

For many triathletes, triXilxes It's not just another competition. The date, the format, and the level of competition make this race a good barometer for gauging fitness in the heart of spring.

With more than 700 participants, a very open competitive field and the appeal of its non-drafting format, Xilxes will once again experience one of the important days of the national middle-distance triathlon this Sunday.
