Sara Guerrero and Pelayo González defend their national triathlon title in A Coruña.

Next Saturday May 31, the city of A Coruna will once again host a national event with the celebration of 2025 Spanish Olympic Distance Triathlon Championship.

The test, organized by the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI), will bring together the country's best triathletes and clubs in a privileged setting: the Marina Parrote, the seafront promenade, and the emblematic María Pita Square.

Guerrero and González, ready to retain their titles

The current champions of Spain, Sara Guerrero (Náutico de Narón) and Pelayo Gonzalez (Peñota Dental Alusigma), head the starting lists and will seek to repeat the feat achieved last year in Banyoles.

Both have demonstrated great consistency throughout the season and are the favorites, although they will have a tough time against a field packed with young talent and established triathletes.

In the men's event there will also be names such as Kevin Tarek, Genis Grau, They were Basanta, Vicente Hernández among others.

In the women's category, there will be Noelia Juan, Marta Pintanel, María Casals, Cecilia Santamaria, and María Jiménez, among others.

Competition program: Saturday for elite, Sunday for youth and groups

The day of Saturday May 31 will start with the youth tests:

  • Female youth: 15: 30 h
  • Male youth: 16: 15 h
  • Female Elite: 17: 30 h
  • Male Elite: 19:45 p.m. (both live on Teledeporte and RTVE Play)

El Sunday 1 June, it will be the turn of:

  • Age groups: from 8:30 a.m.
  • Junior women: 12: 30 h
  • Junior men: 13: 15 h

Pho3nix Kids and Termaria: support for the base and recovery

In parallel to the main tests, A Coruña will host a new stop of the Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series circuit Javier Gómez Noya, which will be held in aquathlon format starting at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, with categories from prebenjamin to cadet.

Furthermore, the House of Thermal Water will official physiotherapy service, offering attention to participants throughout the weekend.

The combination of a spectacular setting, meticulous logistics, and the presence of the national triathlon elite ensures a vibrant competition.
