Other names to keep in mind are Ben Kanute, who won this event in 2019 and 2021, and the British Joe Skipper, a long-distance expert who already debuted this season with a second place at IRONMAN New Zealand.
Braden Currie or the Australian Jacob Birtwhistle, who is coming off a second-place finish in Geelong, has a chance.
