This Sunday, June 29, the eyes of international triathlon are focused on the French Riviera on the occasion of the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Nice 2025.
The Mediterranean city will host some of the biggest names on the professional circuit.
Learmonth, favorite in women's debut in Nice
The British Jess LearmonthOlympic medalist and current T100 circuit athlete, leads the women's list. She's coming off a podium finish in Vancouver and will be looking for her first middle-distance victory in Nice after her second places in Lanzarote (2022) and Kraichgau (2024).
Its main rivals will be:
- Kaidi Kivioja (Estonia), 5th in Oceanside and with several top-3 finishes in her list.

The men's race is shaping up to be a true battle of the titans.
The Belgian Marten Van Riel, current T100 world champion, will face the New Zealander Kyle Smith, fourth in the 70.3 World Cup in December. Van Riel leads his series 3-1, although Smith won't make things easy for him.
They are joined by names such as:
- Leon chevalier, Clement Mignon y Simon Viain, leaders of the powerful French bloc.
- Nicholas Mann (Germany), double winner of 70.3 in 2024.
- Harry palmer (Great Britain), winner in Swansea, who is looking to consolidate his position outside his country.

A tour with a World Cup aroma
The Nice circuit takes parts of the IRONMAN World Championship route. The swim will take place on a single 1.9 km loop in the Mediterranean, starting from the Page des Ponchettes.
The 90-km cycling segment will pass through Vence and Coursegoules, with a technical and hilly profile. Finally, the running segment will cover two laps along the famous Promenade des Anglais, completely flat and with views of the sea.

With elite athletes, an iconic setting and a demanding course, the IRONMAN 70.3 Nice 2025 It promises thrills. For many, it will also be a key test ahead of the World Cup in September, which will be held at this very venue.
