Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon: The country's best triathletes will compete for the Spanish LD Championship.

El Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon 2025 is already warming up its engines with an edition that promises to set the bar high.

This Saturday May 24, the Castellón town of Oropesa del Mar will once again host the Spanish Long Distance Championship, on a day where excitement is guaranteed from the first touch of water on Morro de Gos Beach.

An elite lineup of authentic luxury

Among the big names confirmed are the current champions Francis of Peace y Judith Corachán, both determined to defend their national title.

But the fight for gold won't be easy. Triathletes like Fernando Zorrilla, who makes his debut in the distance after intense preparation, as well as Gonzalo Fuentes, Carlos Aznar, Guillem Rojas or the veteran Ramón Ejeda.

From the 2024 podium, we will see in action again Nacho Villarruel, which was third last year. In total, there will be more than 60 male elite triathletes competing for glory.

Women to follow: Judith Corachán, María Varo and Patricia Bueno

In the women's category, alongside Corachán we will see renowned triathletes such as Judith Fernandez, María Varo y Patricia Bueno, this last Spanish champion in 2023.

A total of 12 elite women are registered, which guarantees a high-level competition also in the women's category.

Spanish Aquabike LD Championship: extra incentive

In parallel, the following will be held: Spanish Aquabike LD Championship, which adds even more appeal to Saturday's event.

The competition will run through the municipalities of Oropesa del Mar and Cabanes, key points on a demanding and spectacular route that will test both professionals and age groups.

An event with record participation

This 2025 the Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon has broken all its participation records.

At the organizational level, the event has established itself as one of the benchmark events in national triathlon, thanks not only to its athleticism but also to its atmosphere, infrastructure, and overall offering for participants.

Sunday: Olympic triathlon and sprint for all audiences

The triathlon party doesn't end on Saturday. Sunday May 25, it will be the turn of the distances Olympic y sprint, designed especially for amateur triathletes who want to live the Mediterranean EPIC experience.

All this, accompanied by a post-finish area with gastronomy, concerts and family activities, and 10.000 euros in prizes in Game.
