World Series Yokohama 2025 Preview: Spaniards in search of key points
The World Series returns this weekend in Japan.

It's been more than two months since the season started. Triathlon World Series and Abu dhabi, but the wait is over.
This Saturday, the international circuit resumes action in Yokohama, with a crucial date for triathletes in the fight for points towards the world ranking.
Two men and two women will represent Spain.
Antonio Serrat y David Castro will be our representatives in the men's event. After a poor start to the season, Serrat will be looking to rediscover his best form, while Castro arrives with high morale following his victory at the Napier World Cup.
They will have tough rivals like Léo Bergere, Dorian Coninx, matt hauser, Basque Vilaca, Morgan Pearson or the promising one Ricardo Batista.
In the female category, Anna Godoy y Miriam Casillas will defend the Spanish colors. Godoy arrives after a great 2024 campaign, while Casillas makes his Olympic distance debut this season after trying out the middle distance.
Both will face the unbeatable Cassandre Beaugrand, along with names like Beth Potter, Gwen Jorgensen, Lisa Tertsch o Leonie Periault.
Big absences but lots of quality on the starting line
Although stars like Alex Yee (recovering from the London Marathon) or Hayden Wilde (injured in Japan), the event maintains a very high level.

Schedules and how to follow the competition
The women's race will begin on Saturday, May 17, at 10:15 a.m. local time in Yokohama (03:15 a.m. in mainland Spain on the same day). The men's race will start at 13:00 p.m. (06:00 a.m. in Spain).
Both races can be followed live through Triathlon Live.tv, the official platform of World Triathlon.
The course will be a standard distance: a 1.500m swim in Yokohama Harbour, followed by a 40km cycle on an urban circuit and ending with a 10km run along the iconic Yamashita Park.
