Trimparables kicks off this Saturday in Gijón with a big triathlon party.
Poniente Beach will host the start of the circuit with multiple popular events, official championships, and activities for all ages.

This Saturday May 24, the city of Gijón will be the starting point of Tri-comparable, a new national triathlon circuit promoted by the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI), SER chain y Diario AS.
La Poniente Beach It will be transformed into a major sporting venue with triathlon events accessible to all ages and abilities, as well as activities open to the general public.
A full day of sport, leisure and values
The presentation of the event took place in the Gijón City CouncilIn the presence of Sports Councilor Jorge Pañeda, the FETRI Competition Director Jorge García, the President of the Asturian Federation, Ángel Fernández and representatives of Cadena SER.
“Gijón is an ideal location to launch this project,” he stressed. Jorge Garcia, remembering that the Asturian city has a long tradition in the national triathlon.

The popular triathlon takes center stage in the afternoon
Starting at 16: 30 pm, the popular Trimparables competitions will be held, with two distances available (Sprint and SuperSprint) and to eight modalities different: individual, couples, relay, inclusive, and women's triathlon. The goal is clear: to bring triathlon to everyone.

In addition, at 12: 00 pm will be a free Zumba session directed by Jessica Expósito, open to the public and designed to liven up the atmosphere on Poniente Beach.

Three official championships will be contested in the morning:
Youth Qualifier (SuperSprint – 11:00 a.m.)
Test for triathletes between 15 and 17 years old who are looking for a place in the European Youth Championship. Among the favorites are Xavi Cabanillas y Alba Nunez.
Spanish Military Championship (11:45 a.m.)
With the participation of members of the Armed Forces, Civil Guard and Royal Guard. Qualifying for the Military World Cup in Uzbekistan.
Asturias Championship (12:15 p.m.)
Regional Olympic-distance event with the best Asturian specialists.
