Hyponatremia and heat by Victory Endurance

Sweat is composed of water and mineral salts. To maintain the electrolyte balance of your body you need to replenish water but also these mineral salts, especially sodium.

Our collaborator Victory Endurance tells us in this article how to hydrate correctly to avoid it

If you drink only water, this balance is lost and a phenomenon known as hyponatremia appears which is when the sodium concentration is equal to or less than 130 mmol / L and generates symptoms ranging from headache, vomiting, fatigue, confusion or consequences as serious as the one that happened this weekend when the mechanism failed which transmits the nerve impulse that is dependent on sodium.

So remember that to properly hydrate you need to replace both the water and the mineral salts you lose!

A very easy and convenient way to do it is with sports drinks or Victory Endurance gels as Iso Energy o Iso Carbo without forgetting the Salt Caps!
