Alistair Brownlee launches sports nutrition products with Truefuels

Alistair Brownlee, the great triathlon icon and double Olympic champion, is back on track with a project he's passionate about: Truefuels.

This is a new line of gels that aims to reinvent the way we eat during a race. The key? A nearly neutral flavor that avoids the heavy sweetness, smoother digestion, and extremely rapid carbohydrate absorption thanks to its 1:1 glucose and fructose formula.

In collaboration with Goran Vasiljevic, Brownlee He tested this gel for months, both in the lab and in training, and showed part of the process on Instagram.

The secret behind her new gel

Although the full range remains a mystery (the official website barely gives any clues), the idea of "stackability" or stacking products promises to be a hot topic, as each athlete will be able to customize hydration and energy to suit their needs.

For now, we know that these gels have been tested on around 50 elite athletes and that Truefuels will soon launch more products to complete this comprehensive vision of sports nutrition.

The question remains as to what these formulas will be like and whether they will succeed in winning over the triathlete and long-distance running community, but everything indicates they want to set the bar high.

The gel in question, called Truefuels, stands out for its neutral flavor and the ease with which it is digested even during maximum effort.

According to his own BrownleeThe main focus was on eliminating the risk of "taste fatigue" and ensuring rapid and efficient carbohydrate absorption. To achieve this, a one-to-one glucose-fructose ratio was designed, which boosts energy availability almost immediately.

How the alliance with Goran Vasiljevic came about

The society between Brownlee y Goran Vasiljevic It dates back to a business meeting, where both shared the vision of creating sports nutrition based on science and high-performance experience.

Together with a team of nutrition experts, they tested the product range with more than 50 elite athletes before launching it. Their shared goal: to offer something that anyone, whether beginner or professional, could use both in training and competition.

The big question is: will he repeat the success that Brownlee have had in competition, now in the field of sports nutrition?

With that combination of elite expertise, scientific advice, and real-world testing, the odds are very high.

Meanwhile, many of us are eagerly awaiting the new releases.
