Homemade energy bars recipe

With the season about to start, many athletes are already looking for ways to eat well during their training without spending too much money and doing it in a healthy way.

That is why we want to share with all of you an easy, fast, healthy and economical recipe to make your own energy bars at home

The process is very simple and you only have to follow a few small steps:

Ingredients:

  • 600 gr of muesli with dehydrated fruit
  • 200 gr of skimmed condensed milk (you can use honey as an alternative)
  • 100-150 gr of walnuts
  • 200 gr of dark chocolate with a cocoa percentage of at least 80%

Utensils:

  • Baking paper
  • large mixing bowl
  • Medium bowl or plate
  • Spatula
  • Oven and its tray
  • grater or knife

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200º for 10 minutes.
  2. Grate or chop the chocolate and nuts. Mix them.
  3. Add the muesli, chocolate and nuts in a large bowl and mix everything.
  4. Add the condensed milk and stir until smooth.
  5. With a spatula, make the dough as compact as possible.
  6. Place the dough in a rectangular oven tray or the one that is perfect to take in your workouts.
  7. Set the oven temperature to 150º and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and cut into desired pieces.

Ready! Now you can enjoy your energy bars during your workouts.
