miCoach app now available for Android for free

Adidas and Google presented the application a few days ago adidas miCoach app for Android at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The new miCoach app for Android gives users of this smartphone the ability to use a personal training system by voice and in real time at no cost.

The miCoach app for Android will be available in Android Market at the end of April, from where you can download for free. Since it was launched in August of 2010 foriPhone and BlackBerry, myCoach app has been downloaded a million times and has been named "2010 mobile application of the year" by Stuff magazine.



The app miCoach app turns the Android into a personal trainer. Some of the features offered are:

  • voice training based on rhythm,
  • training plans for specific sports or
  • calendar and information about the trainings.

 

The training plans for specific sports are designed to help all sports enthusiasts, whether professionals or amateurs. In the application there are specific programs for basketball, soccer, running, american football and tenis, in addition to an additional program for keep in shape. In addition, it has GPS to offer you a real-time training based on the rhythm while recording your route.

 

miCoach app is automatically synchronized with the smart web page www.micoach.comthat personalizes the training plans to adapt them to the physical form and the objectives of the users, offering them the possibility of monitoring, managing and analyzing the progress made.

 

Adidas has worked with some of the best coaches, athletes and teams in the world in the development of miCoach app and the specific training plans. Among them is the well-known coach Mark Verstegen, founder and director of the Athletes' Performance Institute (API) sport and training research center. In addition, adidas has worked hand in hand with the Spanish Soccer Team, recent World Cup champions, FC Bayern Munich, AC Milan, as well as athletes such as Reggie Bush and Jessica Ennis.
