6 steps to repair a puncture in competition

The magazine 220triathlon has published this article in which it tells how to repair a puncture in just 6 steps

If you suffer a puncture in competition the easy thing is to get angry, frustrated or scared, but none of these things helps. We can not avoid playing in a competition, but we can practice to repair the damage as quickly as possible.

1º Before the competition prepares the spare kit, camera, detachable, pump (normal or CO2)

2º Remove the wheel from the bike slowly and put the bike in a safe position (out of reach of other cyclists)

3º Use the removable to remove the punctured camera, check the inside of the tube to see what was the cause of the puncture and find if there is any element nailed that can re-perforate it.

4th Remove the punctured tube, insert the new one and inflate it with a small amount of air to be able to adjust it correctly. Make sure you align it completely with the valve.

5º Press the edge of the tire backwards. Starting at the valve with the 2 hands in opposite directions, checking that you are not pinching the camera.

6º Once the tire is completely closed, put the wheel on the bicycle, secure it with the quick release, adjust the chain and finish inflating with the pump at a pressure of about 100 psi (if you have a pressure gauge)

7º re-shoot
