The Cullera triathlon reinvents itself in search of offering new attractions to the spectator. New format for its thirteenth edition. A risk for the organization of CT Cullera but that will not leave the participants indifferent.
The Cullera triathlon, which takes place this Saturday, will become a great team triathlon party, an unprecedented modality in the Valencian Community and which already has a hundred registered teams.
The courage of the CT Cullera has been rewarded with the massive response of the participants. And the teams and clubs of the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community have decided to bet on this new test that is far from the traditional tests, also spectacular, but that give priority to individual effort.
Team triathlon encourages camaraderie and teamwork. The days prior to the test serve to plan the strategy and tactics in the different segments of the test, knowing the strengths and weaknesses in each of the segments.
Starting at 9 am on Saturday, the departures of the different teams will take place, which will leave every two minutes in the women's category and every minute in the men's category, so the activity throughout the circuit will be continuous at all times.
The different teams, which must be made up of between four and six triathletes, will begin the competition with a 750-meter swim through Mediterranean waters, continue with a 20-kilometre cycling segment and conclude with a five-kilometre foot race in the one that the two previous tests will already have accumulated.
In this way, it will be necessary to plan the efforts well so as not to pay for it in the end and it will also be necessary to take into account the motivation that the fact that it is a team competition will suppose, since the athletes will give everything they have to achieve the best result. set.
From the organization of the test and from the City Council of Cullera they trust that the competition will be a success and the team modality pleases the participants.
