The Skechers sponsored triathlete has secured his entry for Kona after waiting for the Ironman Mont Tremblant result.

Carlos López With the victory last year at the Ironman Mallorca, the recent fourth place at the Ironman in Hamburg and the 14th place achieved at the Ironman in Frankfurt, he has added 3.175 points that have been enough to get his first classification for the Ironman World Championship.

After the eighth place of Eneko Llanos At Ironman 70.3 Dublin, all eyes were on the Ironman Mont Tremblant where two of the direct rivals competed (Marino Vanhoenacker y Chris McDonald) of Carlos López and Eneko Llanos in the classification for the Ironman World Championship that will be disputed this next October.

Marino Vanhoenacker got the victory with a 8 time: 21: 29 followed by Chris McDonald in second position he has not achieved the classification because he only had to win in the race to overtake Carlos.

With these results Carlos López is mathematically classified and Eneko Llanos with many options to participate, although you have to wait to see if Marine Vanhoenacker or Chris McDonald they renounce their participation, which is quite probable.

To know the final list will have to wait until tomorrow to publish the final ranking of participants.
