Javier Gómez Noya y Judith Corachán will lead the TRIarmada 70.3 being the only two Spanish PROs representatives that will compete in Chattanooga. The Galician will be the first Spanish triathlete to compete for the third time in an IM 70.3 World Championship, where he was World Champion The 2014 y third in 2015. For its part, the Catalan has already made history as the first Spanish PRO triathlete to qualify for the IM 70.3 World Championship and her participation there is a well deserved reward for the great work she has done in recent years.
The Chattanooga World Cup will be the first time there is full equality in the PRO category, having 50 classified triathletes both in male and female, something that does not happen yet in the Ironman World Championship where men do have 50 seats while women only have 35. (In all the world championships organized by WANDA-Ironman, in addition to the places assigned, the former world champions and the winners of the continental championships also have an automatic classification)
