Your next objective will be the Challenge Salou the May 28 to then compete in the Bolton Ironman and of Maastricht, where I will try to add enough points to be in the World Cup in Hawaii.

In the following article, the international triathlete PRO Kona Finisher Miquel Blanchart tells us which are the next competitions in which he is going to participate and will also talk about the different Skechers shoes that he uses both to train and to compete.

Good morning Miquel, how are you? To start the interview we would like you to tell us what the next races you are going to play and how you are preparing them

After my first assault on Kona in 2015, where I placed a creditable 17th place, I knew it would be very difficult to get back on the starting line of the biggest long distance party in the world. For this reason, my initial strategy was to participate in events in which I had already competed and thus use my previous experience to my advantage.

I competed in a Lanzarote 2016 full of professionals, which placed me in seventh position in the ranking; from there to the very tough Ironman of Nice, in which I crossed the finish line in sixth place, seeing that the dream of Kona 2016 would not be possible. In this way, I decided to consider the 2017 classification as I did in 2014. I went to Barcelona, where I was able to step on the podium box. Unfortunately, the following tests, Cozumel and Bahrain, were not as expected.

Now my next competition will be the Challenge Salou the May 28 to then compete in the Bolton Ironman and of Maastricht, where I will try to add enough points to be in the World of Hawaii.

We want to know what Skechers shoes you are currently using. What models do you use for short and explosive workouts? What is the reason for wearing these shoes?

Currently in the fastest workouts I use the Gomeb Speed 3. It is a lightweight shoe with good cushioning that allows me to face quality training but with some volume. The Skechers Gomeb Speed 3 It is narrow and, therefore, the support of the foot is very good.

Could you give us an example of a foot race training that you like to do?

An example of quality training would be 6 × 1000, starting on 3'10 and going down to something below 3 'the 1000m.

Now we want to know what models you use for continuous and more volume training. What model of Skechers do you use? What is the reason for wearing these shoes?

For this type of racing, there is the wonderful Go Run Ride 5 that (I must confess) has me in love. I had never felt so good with a training shoe to which, by my lands, we call them "Tochos". In this case I do not refer to them in this way, since they are super comfortable and allow me to do km and km.

Could you give us some example of foot training that you like to do with this shoe model?

The clearest example would be: 32Km with 1 × 10000 and 1 × 8000 at rates between 3'30 and 3'20.

Finally, what shoes will you use in your next competitions?

For the 21km of the walking segment of Challenge Salou I will use the Gomeb Speed 3 . In the face of the Bolton and Maastricht marathons, it is almost certain that the Gomeb Spedd 3 also does not rule out the Go Run Ride 5 for its excellent cushioning since they are almost 3 race hours to complete the 42km.
