Die an athlete when participating in a triathlon in Berga

The deceased is Daniel Araguz Arroyo, of 34 years and a native of Barcelona, ​​who felt bad about the 10: 30 in the morning, when he was swimming in the swamp, as one member of the organization explained. He also pointed out that the athlete was rescued from the water and transferred to the Sant Bernabé de Berga hospital, where he arrived without life.

From the Medical Emergency System (SEM) they have specified that after becoming unwell, the athlete was treated at first by the organization's medical services, which did everything possible to revive him. Participants in the Sailfish Half Triathlon of Berga must travel 1,9 kilometers by swimming, 90 kilometers by bike and 21 by foot. In the competition this year, which was the second edition, 612 athletes participated.
