Today the first edition of the Challenge San Remo where two Spaniards started as favourites, Pablo Dapena and Roberto Sanchez Mantecon.
The test began at 8:20 in the morning with the 1.900 meter swim where Sven Thalman was the first to come out of the water followed by Pablo Dapena at 6 seconds. Roberto started a little behind in ninth position with a difference of 44 seconds.
In the cycling segment with a tough profile, several groups were formed in the race where the first to reach T2 was William Menneson, leading Simon Viaim by 15 seconds. Roberto Sánchez was fifth, 4 minutes behind the leader.
Pablo Dapena had to retire due to mechanical problems in this segment.
In the race Gregory barnaby came back to get the victory in a time of 4:11:59 followed by William Mennesson (4: 12: 15) and for Simon Viain (4: 12: 43) in third position.
Roberto Sánchez Mantecón He was fifth with a time of 4:16:06 and Alberto Casillas (4:17:10) 7th.
