The Kenyan Wilson Kipsang bronze medalist in the 2012 London Olympic marathon, has been suspended four years by the Athletics Integrity Unit (IAU) for rrepeated mistakes in the communication of his whereabouts and by provide false evidence.
Kipsang's 37 years ha twice won the London Marathon, as well as those of Berlin, New York y Tokyo.
In accordance with anti-doping regulations, athletes must inform the control authorities of their whereabouts for one hour every day of the year.
Three failures in 12 months -not being present at that time, or presenting inaccurate or incomplete information, counts as a failure- equals a positive in a doping control.
Kipsang is the sixth fastest marathoner in history, with a personal best of 2h. 03:13, achieved in Berlin in 2016
