According to Europa Press, the Basque cyclist Mikel Azparren has beaten the record of completing the French Way from Roncesvalles to Santiago in less than a day, having managed to travel the 751 kilometers in a time of 23 hours and 51 minutes. This has sido his third attempt to beat the record.
Mikel entered the Plaza do Obradoiro in Santiago after eleven o'clock on Sunday morning, when at the moment of crossing the finish line, a man trying to help him to brake, threw him to the ground causing the rider a broken clavicle.
