Pre-triathlon warm-up

Performing a good warm-up before a triathlon is a fundamental part of the race

Next, from Personal Running we leave you a series of basic tips related to the realization of a correct warm up before competing in a Triathlon:

We always like to recommend playing the three sports, to arrive with sensations to the race in each one of them and to check that everything is OK (both you and the material):

Once breakfast or eaten and made the digestion with enough time, the ideal is to keep an eye on the circuit if possible on both wheels in a smooth way. If it is not possible, at least shoot 10 - 15 'around the place of the competition to test changes, brakes, position, posture, etc ...

Once the material control and left our things prepared in the box, we advise perform a trot of 5-10 'accompanied by a bit of technique and coordination to also prepare the organism at the level of the Central Nervous System. In these exercises, we would influence the action-reaction of the foot and ankle with some short skipping, and adjust these skippings with gestures of joint mobility of arms and trunk.

As a last step, since the first thing we will find is water, it is convenient if the weather conditions accompany it and the water is not too cold, swim at least 10-15 'ending with some short 100% progressions, since the first segment is the one that we know with certainty that it will come out at the top and it is convenient to be well activated. If on the other hand it is cold and the temperature of the water is very low, with some joint mobility outside and rubber work for rotators, shoulder, dorsal, etc., we would be worth it.

We hope that these tips will help you in your warm-ups and begin the test with the body and mind really prepared!
