Clemente Alonso wins in the Ironman of South Africa

The Spanish Clemente Alonso has prevailed in the eighth edition of the South African Ironman held this weekend in Spec-Savers, with adverse weather conditions due to strong wind and rain entering the finish line with a time of 08:34:45 .

Alonso surpassed the second classified by more than seven minutes and came out first in the water test, although then he had to come back to win a great victory.

Virginia Berasategui finished in sixth position where the Swiss Natascha Badmann won with a time of 09:47:10
