Javier Gómez Noya and the Brownlee Brothers clash in Kitzbühel

The ITU World Series event that will be held this weekend in Kitzbühel promises the best.

Javier Gómez Noya, Mario Mola, the Brownlee brothers (Alistair and Jonathan) and Alexander Bryukhankov will meet for the first time so far in the 2012 season.

In the Women's event, Andrea Hewitt will face the Swiss Nicola Spirig, Aileen Morrisony and Barbara Riveros Diaz. Zuriñe Rodríguez will be the only Spanish participant.

The magnificent alpine scenery sets the stage for the fourth edition of the 2012 ITU World Triathlon Series. Athletes will begin by swimming in the waters of Lake Schwarzsee, where they will do two laps.

The cycling circuit will go up to Lebenberg, and in the running segment they will make a very fast circuit which will pass through the center of Kitzbühel.

The race begins with the elite women's start at 3:06 pm on Saturday, June 23, and continues with the men's start at 3:06 pm on Sunday, June 24.
