María Pujol, queen of Posadas after winning the sprint and the half 'iroman'
With almost 46 degrees of temperature and just one day after winning the Califas de Hierro sprint triathlon (750 meters swimming in the Hornachuelos reservoir, 19 kilometers by bike in the surrounding area and another 5 kilometers running through the town of Posadas), the Sevillian María Pujol won the I Calima Desafío Posadas triathlon, a medium iroman in which he crossed the finish line first after swimming 2.200 meters, cycling 80 kilometers and walking 22 kilometers, overcoming a personal challenge that he had set for himself for this double event.
The Seville player won on Saturday, marking the difference from the beginning. She came out of the water first, maintained the difference in the bike course and in the run, true to her role as favorite, she increased the advantage over her rivals to finish with a time of 1:02.44 hours, 1.14 minutes ahead of Elena Aguilar.
Yesterday, at the 08: 00 the second appointment began, a half iroman through the same place in which the distances multiplied. Exactly 30.43 minutes after the starting horn, Pujol was the first to leave the water. The Sevillian never left her head, setting a spectacular pace on the bike. Aguilar, who also repeated, could not close the gap in the cycling segment, arriving in Posadas almost six minutes behind the Sevillian, who would finish the test with a time of 4:37.53 hours, ahead of Aguilar (4:49.15 ).
