After three years without being held due to the pandemic, the international test returned to Rihuete beach with 900 participants

The Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia held this weekend the third of the tests of its Regional League in the XXXI Villa de Fuente Álamo International Triathlon, one of the tests par excellence on the national scene, which has hundreds of participants in each edition from different parts of Spain, and with an elite start with the best current athletes among its ranks.

A strong electrical storm in the moments before the start of the competition delayed the start at the Rihuete beach, in Mazarrón, where the starting signal was finally given to a test that had 900 participants and that crowned the winners David cantero and Noelia Juan.

The triathlete from the University of Alicante led the men's event, finishing with a time of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 16 seconds.

The second position went to one of the classics of the national triathlon, the Catalan Francesc Godoy, who reached the finish line with 1 hour, 5 minutes and 52 seconds. The third podium position went to Andrew Hilary with 1 hour, 6 minutes and 45 seconds.

Regarding the male classification of Murcian athletes, Francisco Javier Pelegrín, from Albacete Ingeteam, was the best positioned, occupying eighth place

The Valencian Noelia Juan lifted the winning ribbon with a time of 1 hour, 14 minutes and 40 seconds after a great foot race where the second classified, Sara Germany, he could not keep up with the pace imposed by Noelia, taking the silver medal and a time of 1 hour, 15 minutes and 44 seconds.

The third place was Anna Noguera with a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 9 seconds.
