Red Bull 7 Islands: The limit of the human body
Red Bull 7 Islands is a project of improvement in which body and mind should go hand in hand. Josef Ajram will be his protagonist and will have to carry out a triathlon of Ironman distances in each of the Canary Islands for seven consecutive days.
42 km of running, 3,8 km of swimming and 180 km of cycling are a real effort for all mortals. But traveling these distances daily for seven days can be seen as inhumane, something that only someone who pushes their body and mind to the limit can do. That person is Josef Ajram and the challenge that is going to put him to the test is called Red Bull 7 Islands.
The challenge will take place in each of the Canary Islands for seven days, ending with the Lanzarote Ironman. From May 13 to 19, Josef will carry out a test with the distances of the Ironman on each of the islands of the archipelago. It will start in El Hierro and from there it will go to La Gomera, La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura to finish in Lanzarote where the island's legendary Ironman event is held, bringing together 1800 athletes.
This project is a sporting and organizational challenge. It will take Josef around 12 hours a day to complete the course, which has been marked on each island with the support of local triathlon clubs. He will cover a total of 294 km running, 26,6 km swimming, 1.260 km by bike. With Josef there will be a very close team, including a doctor and a physiotherapist, keys for the Catalan ultraman to finish the feat in the best possible conditions.
