2000 duatletas will meet at the Duathlon Spain Championships for teams and relays in Avilés

For the second year in a row, the duathlon will once again fill the streets of the city of the Principality of Asturias, after the success of the 2014 edition with the celebration of the Duathlon Spain Championship

The next weekend, Avilés will receive one of the most singular events of the season, with the celebration between the 28 and 29 of March of the Spanish Duathlon Team Time Trial and Relay Duathlon Championships. In turn, throughout these two days will also be held the championships in School Age of both modalities and a popular promotion competition. Altogether all of them will reach record participation figures, with close to 2000 duathletes registered among all categories.

For the second year in a row, the duathlon will once again fill the streets of the city of the Principality of Asturias, after the success of the 2014 edition with the celebration of the Spanish Duathlon Championship. This time it will be played in team modalities, bringing together 1839 participants, among the elite competitions (104 in the time trial and 86 by relays), school (40 in the team time trial mode and 50 in the competition). of relays) and open (60 and 69, respectively). In the course of these two days and with the Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Center as the nerve center of all the activities, a total of 86 clubs will be given.

During the Saturday the Spanish Time Trial Team Championship. A duathlon in time trial format, with departures spaced every minute, in which teams formed by a minimum of four and a maximum of six members, will face a duathlon on sprint distance. That same day there will also be a promotion competition, so that all those athletes - whether they are honored or not - can be part of this great sporting event.

While the Sunday will be dedicated to Spanish Duathlon Championship by Relays. A competition in which the teams will be composed of three members, and in which each of them will have to make a duathlon in distance supersprint, after which they will pass the baton to the next component of the team. On this occasion we will have a total of 208 equipment between the different outputs.

Organized by the Triathlon Federation of the Principality of Asturias and the Spanish Triathlon Federation, it has the institutional support of the City Council of Avilés, the Principality of Asturias, the Port of Avilés and the Niemeyer Center.
