Carlos Aznar and Ana López de San Román winners of the DLD Caleruega 2015

The 2 of May was held in the town of Caleruega in Burgos, the first edition of the Long Distance Duathlon Torreón de los Guzmanes, where Carlos Aznar and Ana López won the title of this first edition.

 

 

The duathletes who participated in the test faced 7,5 kilometers of running on foot, followed by 86 on the bike to finish with another 15 kilometers on foot.

The victory in the men's category was for Carlos Aznar Gallego, from the club Diablillos de Rivas, who completed the distance in 3: 42: 42, followed by Endika Gaklarreta Bezara, from the Enkarterri Triatloi, to more than 8 minutes and from Alicante Fernando Martínez Ortiz of the Endika club.

In the female category the victory has been for Ana Lopez of San Román, from the Fitness Sport Triathlon with a time of 4: 35: 54

This test was born to become a benchmark for the long-distance duathlon in Spain, thanks to the spectacular landscapes through which it runs, to the great support that it has had from City Council of Caleruega, of the neighboring municipalities and having been designed by Diego Velazquez, the first triathlete in the world with Multiple Sclerosis to complete an Ironman distance triathlon and who has a great experience in the world of triathlon.
