Javier Gómez Noya Xterra World Champion

Javier Gómez Noya ,. A silver medalist at the Olympic Games and a recent winner of the World Series Grand Final in Auckland, New Zealand, he has shown his class by winning the Xterra World Championship.

This race where the mountain bike is used is not its strong point, but it has shown that it is an out of series, regardless of the terrain it faces.

It was his first participation in this race and his debut could not have been better. The race ran in a distance of 1,5 km of swimming, 30,4 km in the segment mtb to finish with 9,5 km of race on foot,

Javier Gómez Noya has reached the finish line with a time of 2:26:41, followed by Josiah Middaugh at 47” and Conrad Stoltz who finished in third position with a final time of 2:30:04.

We must highlight the great performance of Victor del Corral who, leaving far behind in the swimming segment, managed to climb back to 5th position, remaining only 20” from the podium. Eneko Llanos I finished in 12th position with a final time of 2:35:10

In the Women's category, Lesley Paterson won with a time of 2:44:10 followed by the Chilean Barbará Riveros at more than 4 'and Mari Rabie in third position.
