Winter Triathlon sets course for Reinosa

On January 30, the Spanish Winter Triathlon Championship and the ETU European Cup of the modality will be held in Reinosa

In the absence of two months Reinosa continues to build what will be an unparalleled staging, with the dispute next January 30 Spanish Winter Triathlon Championship, European Cup ETU of the modality at the same time as second round of the Trangoworld Spanish Cup of Winter Triathlon.

A triple crown that will take place in one of the most emblematic venues of the White Triathlon. The Cantabrian town is a venue with a long history in the organization of this discipline, which is prepared to receive at the beginning of 2016 these three competitions of great transcendence, which undoubtedly will continue to offer epic deeds among the participants who attend the event.

In this sense, during this Wednesday several work meetings have been developed to outline the next 30 competitions in January. Therefore, the director of competitions of the Spanish Triathlon Federation Jorge García and Amancio del Castillo who will act as technical delegate of the tests, have moved to Reinosa to meet at the City Council to focus on technical planning.

Subsequently, both have moved to Santander to hold a meeting with Zara Urzuguía Gómez, general director of sports of the Government of Cantabria. They were joined by José Miguel Barrio Fernández, mayor of Reinosa and Federico Campuzano (president of the Cantabrian Triathlon Federation). In the course of the same, the FETRI expressed its unconditional support to Reinosa as a reference of the winter triathlon.

In the same lines, Urzuguía stressed the importance of the municipality of Campurriano as host of major sporting events, especially linked to the White Triathlon and its international positioning from 2015. Finally, the general director of sports, expressed his full support to the event, confirming in turn the institutional support of Cantabria, which joins the FETRI and the Cantabrian Federation.
