200 Triathletes in one of the toughest triathlons in Spain, The Herbalife Triathlon Ball of the World

Navacerrada welcomes this test this Sunday in the Sierra Madrileña

This past Wednesday the third edition of the spectacular triathlon that will start on Sunday at the Navacerrada reservoir and culminate in the World Ball, at 2.000 meters high, has been presented

Navacerrada hosts for the third consecutive year the Triathlon Herbalife Ball of the World. It is a unique and spectacular test for the hardness of the route and the natural environment in which it develops. The already traditional triathlon of the Sierra de Madrid, has its third edition with the support of Herbalife.

The test begins with the swim test in the reservoir of the town of Navacerrada, continuing with the cycling sector, which will travel through the main ports of the Community of Madrid. The race finishes in the top of the region, next to the antennas of the popular Ball of the World, in the stop of Guarramillas.

During the course the triathletes will have to overcome ramps of up to 22% slope, emulating professional cyclists in the stage of the climb to the Ball of the World that has been held several times in the Vuelta a España.

However, athletes should save strength for the third sector of the triathlon. An authentic mountain trail by the main peaks of the Madrid mountain range will be the final point of the Third Edition of the Herbalife Triathlon Ball of the World. It is a technical terrain above the 2.000 meters in height; a challenge for the triathlete that makes this race one of the toughest in the world.

A total of 200 triathletes will enjoy this high performance test along a privileged spot recently cataloged as a National Park. A fact that limits the number of participants in the Third Edition of the Herbalife Ball of the World Triathlon, which covers the main enclaves of the Sierra Madrileña.

The test will have two modalities: the Tri Short, with 1.500 meters of swimming, 27 kilometers of cyclones and 10 of trail, and the queen test, the Tri Largo, with 2.000 meters of swimming, 90 kilometers of cycling and 20 of trail.
