Uxio Abuin, fifth in the Wollongong Oceania Sprint Triathlon Cup

Uxio Abuín He has qualified in a remarkable fifth place in the Oceania Sprint Triathlon Cup held in Wollongong in the Australian Southeast.

 

 

The Spanish maintained a very regular level during the dispute of all the competition in the city of New South Wales, to conclude in a creditable fifth position in a good start to the year for the Galician triathlete. A test consisting of 750 m swimming, with the exit located in Belmore Basin, later made 20 km cyclists along three laps and 5 km final race on foot, in a single lap that passed by the well-known "Blue Mile" . For its part, the also Galician Pablo Dapena crossed the finish line in 15º place in its international premiere of the season.

The local triathlete Jacob Birtwhistle confirms the forecasts that placed him as one of the favorites and took victory. The Australian shared a podium with the German Christopher Hettich and the Canadian Tyler Mislawchuk, second and third respectively.
