5 World Championships in the XVUMX Pontevedra Multisport Festival

The ITU MultiSport Festival 2019, to be held in Pontevedra, will include the celebration of five World Cups over ten days of sport and cultural activities.

Yesterday the creation of the Organizing Committee of the Festival Multideporte Pontevedra and all the institutions (Spanish Triathlon Federation, International Triathlon Federation, Xunta de Galicia, Diputación Provincial and Pontevedra City Council) expressed their support and commitment to this Multisport Festival that will move more than 4.000 athletes and the 10.000 people during these ten days.

This Multisport Festival is a competition of new format of the International Triathlon Federation, which will be released this year in the Canadian city of Penticton, while at the 2018 it will be held in Odense (Denmark).

It was also announced that the four World Cups already known (World Championship of Cross Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquatlon and of Long Distance Triathlon), we must add the discipline of Aquabike, in which the participants will have to do 3.000 meters of swimming and 120 kilometers of cycling.
