Alistair Bronwlee and Nicola Spirig best European triathletes 2016

They were nominated Javier Gómez Noya and Mario Mola but they did not get the prize

This past weekend, the annual ETU (European Triathlon Federation) gala was celebrated, where the best representatives of the European Triathlon have been awarded in several facets.

The nominees were the following:

• Best Female Athlete of the Year: Helen Jenkins, India Lee, Nicola Spirig and Yuliya Yelistratova
• Best female athlete of the year Alistair BrownleeJavier Gomez, Mario Mola and Rostislav Pevtsov
• Best National Federation: Austria, Great Britain and Spain
• Best Emerging National Federation: Estonia, Romania and Slovenia
• Best Technician / Officer of the year: Stéfane Mauris, Andreas Galanos, Sarah Taylor and John Petrides
• Best Organizer of the year: Madrid, Otepää, Tiszaújváros, Walchsee

The winners were:

Best European athlete: Nicola Spirig

Best European athlete: Alistair Brownlee

Best National Federation: Britain

The best emerging federation: Slovenia

Best organizer of the year: TISZAÚJVÁROS

Best technician / officer of the year:  Stéfane Mauris
