Cascais Triathlon, one of the most beautiful triathlons in Europe

The next 24 and 25 of September will be held in the Portuguese town of Cascais a new edition of this triathlon

 

The Villa of Cascais It is one of the main tourist destinations in the neighboring country, it is located 30 kilometers west of Lisbon, with about 206.479 residents in the city. It is a cosmopolitan neighborhood in the Portuguese capital and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal.

The old fishing village gained fame as a tourist center for the royal family of Portugal in the 1800 and 1900 years.

Cascais is surrounded by the best-known beaches such as Guincho Beach, to the west, and the exuberant Sintra Mountains to the north. Some of its coasts have spectacular cliffs, which attracts tourists for its landscapes and other places of natural interest such as Boca do Inferno.

The cycling sector

Without a doubt it will be one of the most impressive cycling segments that you can find in a triathlon, since it has incredible views of the ocean, passing through the spectacular Boca do Inferno that surely will not leave you indifferent.

The circuit is not one of the hardest, but you will have to face some hard climbs counting also with the appearance of the wind in some parts of the route, but surely you will enjoy its spectacular and wild views.

The race on foot

It takes place between palaces and castles, passing near the seafront on several occasions which will help the companions to support the athlete during the dispute of the race on foot.
