The Portuguese Ismael Teixeira is the "iron priest" and has announced that he will participate in the Ironman 70.3 Cascais Portugal the next September 3.
Ismael has been in the service of the church for the last 16 years, where he has always been passionate about sports, has practiced rugby, mountain biking and duathlon.
4 years ago Ismael began to be interested in triathlon, but with the problem of swimming since he did not know how to swim. Starting the swimming lessons almost from scratch, in 2016 he made his first Ironman in Copenhagen and at 42 years old he will participate in his second great challenge, this time in his country. Ismael is not the only triathlete father, since Edison Serna has been competing for several years around the world in Ironman events
The test that is about to complete the maximum number of registered, has an 17,4 registered in our country.
