Ecotrimad changes date for 2017

The 7ª edition of Ecotrimad will take place the 27 and 28 of May of 2017

There is no doubt that organizing a triathlon in May at the Sierra de Madrid it carries a high risk due to the instability of the climate and the temperature of the water in the marshes where swimming is celebrated. Thus Ecotrimad delays its date of celebration to the last weekend of May of 2017 (27 and 28). 

The test will continue with the formats of middle distance y Olympic without drafting on Saturday and sprint triathlon on Sunday

The organization has a challenge for next year renew the sporty design of the triathlon, which may include changes in swimming, boxes and race circuit and even a possible change of location. The adaptations seek to adapt to the demands of the national triathlon world while maintaining the identity of the event. These changes will be fully defined before the opening of registrations next 1 September of 2017.  

The last 14 of May, José Javier Alvaréz contented, participant in the Olympian without drafting of the edition 2016 had a serious accident in the bike sector that forced to suspend the medium distance test, by requiring the services of the SUMMA helicopter to evacuate him .
