Ecotrimad improves its area of ​​transitions

 New boxes and advantages for runners and spectators, maintaining their personality and spectacularity

With the commitment to make a better test every year, innovate and give a better service to runners, the 7ª edition of Ecotrimad It will have a big change.

The competition center will be located in a single place; The Gredos San Diego de Buitrago School football field, where the numbers, boxes, departures, 1 Transition, 2 Transition and goal will be delivered, as well as additional services such as toilets, showers, cloakroom , Post-goal catering, runner's fair and spectator point, all unified in one point, which undoubtedly represents a step forward in terms of comfort for the runner, safety in the pits, and service to the spectator.

This change, in addition to trying to offer a simpler logistics for runners, allows reduce the distance of the T1 by half in relation to previous years becoming 450m instead of the 900m of the latest editions. At the same time reduces the unevenness since with the new design it is not necessary to walk the boxes from top to bottom twice as usual. Another favorable point of the new design allows to suppress the narrow corridors and therefore the possible plugs, or hooks. The route to the T1 is therefore much cleaner, more comfortable and in direct contact with the public that will be able to access said section.

In relation to the transition area and boxes, this will have artificial grass and several lines of boxes which will allow a more orderly and quick placement of bicycles, as well as more space between bikes. Spectators can be placed in the stands, not to miss a detail of each step in the area of ​​transitions because with the new design can observe, from the point of the viewer, the same runner up on 7 occasions including departure, both transitions, part of the route on foot, goal and delivery of prizes.

In relation to the Foot race, new design From the center of competition it allows to eliminate slope, stairs, and footbridges if n subtract an apex to the spectacle of the route and keeping all its attractiveness. In addition, the runner will feel the encouragement and support of the spectators in different moments of said section and will be able to feel very closely the heat of the spectators thanks to the new goal straight line. 

Ecotrimad, one of the tests of the Median and Long Distance Cup of Spain, and possibly Madrid Middle Distance Championship will hold its 7 edition next June 3, Saturday, in its format of Media Distancia and Olympic without drafting. The June 4 with Sprint distance, also pending confirmation as Madrid championship.
